12.02.04 - Guido has decreasing interest in going outside as the temperature drops. The only creatures still about the immediate outdoors of our quiet suburban sudivision seem to be the squirrels and neighbors pets. Since his big cold, when he has gone outside, he has only managed to, repeatedly, catch the same large dopey Irish Setter. Considering there was no human-assisted-catch & release, that the dog may actually be escorting Guido home and that the dog is unharmed and happy, we cannot count or tally Guido's activity in the chart above. Looks like we'll be completing the season with 101 kills, not too shabby.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: We are now grateful we chose the name "Chooy" for our new kitten and not "Ymir". Ymir was the name of a VERY ANGRY & RUDE Russian plumber that quoted at three times the going rate to snake out our laundry line early one morning last week. Sent him packin'! Grr, ruined a perfectly nice name.
10.20.04 - Guido is feeling nearly well again and craving the freedoms of the outdoors. Today, in a stir crazy fit while the stupid human was in the other room, he implemented some slight & irreversible modifications into the code effecting the "look & feel" of this site. Bear with us as we find alternatives that we prefer.
10.14.04 - Guido tried to go to work 3 times today but turned around and came back in after less than 30 minutes. He is sneezing and feeling cruddy. URI caught from Chooy. Now resting comfortable under the best, warmest, silver desk lamp with a paw shading the light from his eyes.
10.09.04 - Guido's baby brother's name is Chooy (for now ...). He came down with an upper respiratory infection (kitty cold) contracted during his stay at the MSPCA.
010.04.04 - Guido got a new baby brother. We have yet to come up with a name ... Romeo? Puck? Ymir? Lewis? Ceasar? Dude? Pepe? Leroy? Spencer? Stan? Mic? Yuki? Hmmm ...
09.07.04 - Screen replaced. New screen destruction = 3 days.
07.23.04 - Notice the new category of woodland creature above. Squirrel!! THIS IS A BIG DAY FOR CATS! Squirrels have been on Guido's list for years ...
New Skill Development Update: Successful 'cat-sized' hole cut into screening material on storm door. (Soon he will figure out how to cut the window screening as well! <sigh>)
07.09.04 - Guido's tail is healing nicely now. Ground speeds are increasing. Lethargy diminishing.
06.26.04 - Guido has insisted that I add this little note. He wanted me to inform you that, he feels, his numbers have been low lately due to a very large (now healing) abscess at the base of his tail. The abscess was caused by playing *speeding cat donut* with "Big Mean Kitty". He claims that Big Mean Kitty keeps biting him in the tail.
Also, I am to mention that his "People" keep the door closed now, making him knock with deliveries.
And, he has an update in the category of New Skill Development. While Guido is still working on turning doorknobs on the big door, he has mastered charging and pushing the screen door open to get outside whenever he's feeling like talking a walk.
